Michelle, our Blessed Coordinator, has served alongside our organization for more than a decade, bringing not only her leadership and over 20 years of real estate experience, but also her whole heart. Since joining our Board of Directors in 2021, Michelle has become a steady presence of compassion—often moved to tears of both sorrow and joy as she blesses women, children, families, veterans, and so many others walking through difficult seasons. We believe without question that God has taken Michelle’s story of loss and pain and woven it into this sacred part of our mission. She was created for this work.

When Michelle was nearly nine months pregnant with her oldest daughter, Hailey, now 17, she was speaking on the phone with her father as he excitedly planned to travel for the birth of his second grandchild. Her father, a former Sheriff who was then working as a process server, made one final stop on his way home to serve a restraining order involving domestic violence. He never returned. Michelle’s life changed forever when she was met with the knock on the door no family ever wants to hear. Her father was murdered in the line of duty; the mother escaped, and two children were brutally injured but survived.

Out of that unimaginable grief, Michelle chose love. She chose service. She chose to turn pain into purpose. Since that day, she has poured her heart into helping those affected by trauma, standing beside individuals and families with empathy that can only come from lived experience. Michelle has a fiercely protective heart, believes courage is contagious, and stands boldly for justice and what is right. Her faith in God anchors her, and her life reflects His love through kindness, integrity, and compassion.
