A HUGE Thank You to our team, our sponsors & volunteers who helped make our first annual Blessed Backpacks event a success. We were able to fill tons of new bags full of all of the essentials kids need to start the school year out right, plus coupons for free kids’ meals at Houston TX Hot Chicken & Red Robin for each bag, bracelets, water bottles & inspirational notes written from kids to kids with words of encouragement provided by our friend Tiffinay @ One More Time.This year, we were able to give bags to our partners at Fairchild AFB Victim Advocacy program, Family Promise, Olive Crest/Strong Families, NE Youth & Family Services, & Stevens Elementary school to be given to the kids who need them the most. The feedback from our partners & schools has been touching. These were gifted to so many kiddos facing abuse, tragic circumstances, and hardships. It’s truly special that such a small act of kindness can do so much to these families who have very little. Being a light to our community & seeing the joy in these little faces is worth every second of time, energy & effort putting them together!
