We received a call yesterday morning from the City of Spokane asking if we could prep, cook, and deliver 450 meals 3 times a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) every day this week to the evacuees staying at the Spokane Convention Center! With only a few hours’ notice, we reached out to our team, past employees, and volunteers to help. They all jumped in and accepted without hesitation. We started prepping and shopping at 1 this afternoon and ended at midnight! We will also be working with the Red Cross to make sure the meals go smoothly! We are grateful for those who dropped off items today!
It will be a crazy week for us, but this is what Blessings has done for almost 20 years. We are very honored to help. May the Lord bring every ounce of ashes to beauty and bring peace to those in mourning, loss and sorrow!
